Looking for a way to add a little Mad Dog to your Christmas lunch? We don’t blame you. We also serve our feasts with a healthy dollop of fire. And, if your celebrations are adults only, you may want to consider this incredible stuffing recipe. It’s simple enough to please even the pickiest of eaters… and just hot enough to make you warm and happy. This recipe makes enough stuffing for about eight people, but you can double or halve it as needed. (Oh, and you can also cook it separately if you do have kids around.)
2 sticks Butter
3 ribs Celery, chopped
1 large Onion, chopped
1 tablespoon Mad Dog Inferno Hot Sauce
1 package Unseasoned dry bread cubes
1 teaspoon Salt
1/8 teaspoon Pepper
1½ teaspoons Poultry seasoning
¼ cup Milk.
Heat a large pan over medium-high and add the butter to pan. Add the celery, onion and then the Mad Dog Inferno Hot Sauce. Cook until onion becomes just soft. Add the bread cubes and stir well to coat. Add seasonings and enough milk to moisten. Stir to combine and remove from heat. Allow to cool before stuffing the turkey.
This stuffing can also be cooked in oven separately from the bird. Just add turkey drippings or a little chicken broth, and bake at 350ºF, until heated through and a little crispy on top. It should be about 30 minutes, but you may want to check at about 25 minutes, or let it go a little longer, depending on what else is in the oven.
