Cucumber Chili Pops

maddog357.com

There are some things that chili is just naturally good friends with – like chocolate.

And that’s how you end up with chili in ice cream. It’s also how you end up with the strange combination of cucumbers and hot sauce in an ice pop. But just wait until you try these; you’ll always need a batch in the freezer. And, don’t worry about the color; the florescent orange ice pops you give to children is a little more frightening, don’t you think?

Ingredients

½ teaspoon  Mad Dog 357 Gold Edition Hot Sauce
½ cup of water
½ cup of sugar
2 medium cucumbers, peeled and without seeds
Juice of 3 limes

Preparation

In a small saucepan, over medium heat, place the sugar, water, and Mad Dog 357 Gold Edition Hot Sauce. Cook until the sugar is completely dissolved. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

Meanwhile, peel the cucumbers and remove the seeds. Cut into slices. Then, blend the syrup with the cucumbers and the lime juice in a blender until smooth. Pour the mixture into ice pop molds. Freeze overnight and enjoy like crazy tomorrow!
