Bacon, cheese, chilies, beef… why make the tough call between tacos and burgers tonight? We can’t imagine anything more tempting than these scrumptious bacon chili cheeseburger tacos. There’s a good chance you’ll feel compelled to make these every week for the rest of your life. And, hey, we don’t blame you. You’ll get about 12 tacos out of this recipe – how many people that feeds is totally up to you.
For the taco filling
4-6 slices Bacon, diced
½ – 1 Mad Dog 357 Naga Morich Pepper Pods, diced
1¼ pounds Ground beef
2 each Green onions, sliced
½ teaspoon Salt
½ teaspoon Pepper
For the taco sauce
several drops Mad Dog Green Amigo
6 tablespoons Ketchup
1 tablespoon Mustard
12 each Taco shells
Your favorite toppings
Sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
In a large skillet, fry the bacon over a medium heat until just crisp. (Pour off excess fat, if needed.) Then, add the Mad Dog 357 Naga Morich Peppers along with the beef and continue cooking until beef is totally browned. Add the salt and pepper and allow the mix to simmer on low for a few more minutes.
Meanwhile, mix together all the ingredients for the taco sauce in a bowl and set aside.
When the Mad Dog chili cheeseburger meat is ready, assemble tacos as desired – perhaps tucking them in the microwave to get that delicious melty cheese you would get on a burger.
